  13. On the Microsoft.NET 3.5 screen, mark the first and second options, and click OK. 

  14. Now that the .NET Framework 3.5 has been installed

  15. To finish, click on the Finish button 

  16. Restart the computer to see if error 4 in the QuickBooks event log has been resolved

  • Install all updates to QuickBooks and keep it up to date 

  • Visit the intuit website for the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool
